Have you switched on your savvy navigation ?

For many of us, finding ‘the one’ has proved much more difficult than we thought possible.  We may ‘test drive’ different relationships without too much thought about what will and won’t work for us and really understanding why these relationships don’t always work out the way we had hoped.

Values are what are important to each of us and they are entirely individual.  Your values reflect your past experiences, upbringing and the here and now so they can change over time.  That means that the values that were important to you when you were dating in your 20s will not necessarily be the same values that are important to you in your 30s and equally the values you are looking for in a boyfriend are unlikely to be the same as the values you will want in a long term partner.  What is important is that we know the difference and don’t applying boyfriend filters and values into a search for a long term partner because if you do, you are likely to just find yourself another boyfriend.

If you were planning a trip to Scotland there are a set of things that will come into play: First off you’ll have made the decision to actually go to Scotland and then usually you will make a decision about exactly where in Scotland you’ll go, it’s a relatively big and diverse place after-all.  You’ll work out what you need to pack for your trip, maybe buy a guidebook, find somewhere to stay and turn on your sat nav to guide you there.  So in essence, you make quite a few choices and decisions to make it actually happen.

This all makes sense so why not apply this same logic to finding a long term partner?

If you’re in your thirties and tired of test driving different types of men to establish what is right for you, is it time to put all that research to good use alongside the values that you hold dear and are important to you for your long term happiness?   In as little as six sessions, through life coaching, you can establish what values are important to you in a long term relationship, overturn limiting beliefs you have about yourself or others that could be holding you back, build your self-confidence and work out how to move towards your ultimate goal…
